Understanding the Impact of Stigma in the Lives of Seniors
The most recent Canadians census shows that senior individuals over the age of 65 outnumber children.[i] By 2030, nearly one in four individuals in the country are expected to be seniors.[ii]

Understanding the issues faced by senior individuals is important to ensure a prosperous society.
Personally, I find a deep connection with senior individuals due to the inevitable fact is that we all have to one day enter this stage in life.
In this blog post, I will explore the normal aging process and the negative impact of stigma in the lives of aging individuals who suffer from mental health problems. Also, I will suggest some intervention efforts that can help reduce the stigma faced by senior individuals in our society.
